Last night, my husband and I had the honor of attending a dinner in Washington, DC to raise money for a great cause. If fact, the group's name is CAUSE: Comfort for America's Uniformed Services.
It was started just six years ago by the wives of four classmates from West Point's class of 1967.
It has grown tremendously since then, yet it has virtually no layers of bureaucracy, so donations go straight to services for our veterans.
One of CAUSE's specialties is providing video game and movie carts for those who are facing months in the hospital with little to keep their minds occupied.

I'm trying to cut out those $4 fancy coffees. For Christmas, I asked for a decent coffee-maker, so i could brew it at home instead. The only problem is, I am a TERRRIBLE coffee-maker. Today I broke down and got a Dunkin' Donuts regular coffee for less than $2. Not perfect, but better!
In Tampa, I got to spend some time with General David Petraeus and his wife, Holly. The General flipped the coin at the Super Bowl. He told me he was nervous! He did great.
This is me and Bruce Springsteen... and about 70 thousand others!
I don't know why I always take these pictures of the halftime show when you can't see anything! Raymond James stadium was definitely rockin'.
My husband flew with the Air Force Thunderbirds out of MacDill AFB. He is very proud to say he "pulled 9G's." They tried to persuade me to go, but no dice!
This is his pilot, nicknamed "Split.” We're on the field during the post-game celebration.
The Steelers’ fans were wild with their 6th Super Bowl win!
