Just getting pics in of the bus that's owned by teenaged performer Miley Cyrus. Virginia State Police say one person has died... after the tour bus overturned. 16 year old Miley was not on the bus.
The bus crashed this morning on Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie. That's about 40 miles south of Richmond, VA. One person was killed... another has non-life threatening injuries, according to cops at the scene.
If you're writing letters to the jolly man at the North Pole this holiday season you likely won't get a response from Santa Claus or his helpers. The U.S. Postal Service is dropping a popular natinal program begun in 1954 in the small Alaska town of the North Pole. Volunteers have been opening and responding to thousands of letters addressed to Santa each year. Replies come with North Pole postmarks. But, last year, a postal worker in Maryland recognized an Operation Santa volunteer there as a registered sex offender. The postal worker interceded before the individual could answer a child's letter, but the Postal Service viewed the episode as a big enough scare to tighten rules in such programs nationwide.
USGS confirms to Fox a 6.6 quake has hit off the coast of British Columbia, Canada. It's not too far from Vancouver-- the biggest city and people are reporting they did not feel the tremor there. But, in the closer and small-populated areas of Prince Ruper and Queen Charlotte City... two popular vacation resort areas with beautiful hotels... customers on higher floors say they definitely felt the shaking and movement and it seemed to last for a couple of minutes. No injuries and no damage reported.
OKC police say a suspect in killings has turned himself in to Mayes County Sheriff's Office. Four bodies were found in a burning home on the city's southwest side last week and now 28 year old David Allen Tyner is suspected of shooting them.
Among the dead... 22 year old Brooke Phillips (pic) who was featured in the HBO series "Cathouse"... a Nevada brothel where she was a prostitute.
Phillips and another victim, 22 year old Milagrous Barrera were both pregnant. Police are not releasing the id's of the two others killed.

Fayetteville, North Carolina police wrapping up News Conference... telling reporters they've arrested 29 year old Mario Andrette McNeill and that he has confessed to taking little Shaniya Davis.
Police say they are releasing their first suspect, Clarence Coe, and all charges against him will be dropped.
Surveillance video shows McNeill taking Shaniya into a hotel room Tuesday morning.
The child's been missing since earlier this week.
Police still have not found her-- the search intensifying but, they say they have hope she may be alive.

Wall Street Journal is reporting: Military To Seek Death Penalty For Fort Hood Shooting Suspect
Military officials say the Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 and wounding 29 in last week's shooting rampage at his military post in Texas will face 13 charges of premeditated murder under the military's legal system. The decision makes him eligible for the death penalty if convicted.
For the second time in as many days, the earth has opened up after a water main break in the North Hollywood, Studio City area.
What a mess. Watching this for about 3 1/2 hours now-- a 42,000 pound fire engine swallowed, nose-first by a sinkhole. The hole opening up at the intersection of Hartsook Street and Bellingham Ave... when a 6-inch water main broke... sending tons of water and mud into the neighborhood.
The Los angeles city fire crew managed to escape the sinking vehicle after trying to reverse it out of the hole!
I've been watching via satellite the cab go under water and mud... whew good thing they got out when they did. And, get this-- DWP can't fix the water main and restore service until they pull out the truck 'cuz it's covering the damaged pipe.
Heavy tow equipment is at the scene... but, no one wants to drive too close to the engine fearing the roadway could continue to collapse.
This is a few blocks from another sinkhole.
Over the weekend, a 95 year old, 64-inch steel main burst flooding and forcing the closure of the heavily-traveled coldwater Canyon Avenue.

His slain brothers, former President John F. Kenney and former Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, also are bured at Arlington, along with some other members of the family.
Sen. Ted Kennedy died of brain cancer at his family home in Hyannis Port, Mass. He was 77.

South Rockwood is about 15 minutes drives outside Detroit. Described as a beautiful neighborhood... now terrorized by this cop shooting.
The officer is a member of South Rockwood Police Department... don't know his condition yet but, he was just airlifted to University Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
