    Proposed Islamic cultural center & mosque to be built near Ground Zero.

    We spoke to New York University professor Irshad Manji who says Americans aren’t thinking clearly about plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero.  She says they are only focusing on one aspect of the debate.  Some argue that Muslims should be able to build mosques anywhere, just like Christians build churches and Jews build synagogues.  So they completely support this mosque.  Others argue that Muslims caused the tragedy at the World Trade Center, so they should not build a mosque so close to scene.  So they oppose the mosque completely.

    Professor Manji told us that both sides are reacting emotionally instead of with their heads.  Not only are they mad at each other, but now both sides are mad at her!  She says she’s only calling everyone out on their refusal to ask the right questions.  She says both sides really need to listen to each other.

There does need to be understanding on both sides, but in regards to how the American people feel about it, you would think that they would care about that above all else. God desires us to live in peace with one another. America was founded on Judeo-Christian values. God made America what it is and people flock to this country because it is a great country and they need to follow our laws, not enforce theirs.

What did Presidents Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common? Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens. Harry Truman deported over 2 million illegal aliens to create jobs for returning veterans. In 1954 Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexicans over 2 years so WWII and Korean veterans would have a better chance at jobs. Why can't they do this today? They were men of honor not politicians looking for votes.

Bloomberg should stand up for the Americans first especially those that lost family & friends & Firefighters & Policemen. Those brave souls on the Plane "let's roll" & the Pentagon, who I am saddened by building a Mosque inside. Bloomberg is failing at his job because of his sympathy for this group of people that 4.8M was paid in cash for this place.This is only given the Jihad a Memorial for their attack. Bloomberg is of the elite & feels bad for them. The same way the elite felt on Obama.

I think Irshad has a great essay. When you ask the right questions, the emotions and finger pointing mostly shakes off like a pecan tree. The true nature of the mosque will be left standing. The debate now is all sensationalist. If the mosque is revealed as one with inherent prejudices, the argument from the side of "intolerance" quickly becomes obsolete.

Would someone at Fox do some serious study of the origins and history of Islam!! Muhammad spread Islam with the sword and after his death his followers carried on in the same manner from N Africa to Spain. They took Jerusalem by force and built a mosque on top of a Catholic church. The Koran doesn't refer to Jerusalem even once.
