Does anyone remember an initial story on Somer that reported the step father was home, and that when she didn't come home with the other children he began looking for her. I may be confusing this story with another, but I really thought there was a step father mentioned.

Just kill them all. Seriously...how many more kids have to be killed before we begin to understand that these types of predators don't change. They will do it OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Why ...Why...can't these worthless characters be tracked down at all times through a device like cars are that have been highjacked and phones that are locacated in areas as to their where abouts. And should it come off..they are identified as to their previous crime and location at the time should it be removed. Immediently an alarm alert the system. When found , straight to prison. I live in folkston,ga where the little girl was found and I have chill bumps all over when I think about this situation.My prayers and love go out to this family.Maybe now this will open the school boards eyes and take the limit off of how far the school buses can go.It makes me so mad that it takes upsetting situations like this to make a point now a family has to live without their little girl that hasn't lived her life she was going to school to become something in life and since there was...

Your reporter lady got it wrong. The mother didn't tell Somer she wasn't in trouble. She told the kidnappers to leave Somer anywhere and she would not pursue bringing them to justice or prefer charges against them. The words she used were like, '...just let her go. I don't care if you ever get in trouble just leave her somewhere...' as long as I've got you....why are you using a picture of Zazi for the Boston terrorist? Am I to understand this child is seven years old? I would not let a child that age go anywhere without supervision. The parents need to share in the responsibility and be held accountable. Let's all hope for a positive outcome.
