Happening Now
  • Good Morning Happening Now viewers

We hope everyone had a great weekend. Maybe you watched some football? Perhaps you watched a baseball game? Well we've got to get back to work now that its Monday and there's lots of news out there today.

Karl Rove will be with us to discuss is anger toward Rahm Emmanuel's comments this weekend. Emmanuel said the Bush administration had no Afghanistan strategy and left the Obama administration to start from scratch. Needless to say, Mr. Rove disagrees.

Balloon Boy, remember him? Well police think his parents put him up to the whole thing. They story that took the media and the nation by storm is under intense speculation that it was a hoax from the beginning. Do you feel gullible? The media hungry parents may be in a lot of trouble soon. We'll tell you what sort of legal mess their stunt could have landed them in during the show.

A new report shows that there are an increasing number of Americans and Westerners attending terrorist training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan. WHY?

It is the responsibility of our chosen global leaders to develop the programs and policies that ensure the greater good of the human race. This must be done through global government, population control, equal distribution of global rescores, re-education efforts aimed at promoting synergy and harmony with our environment, and a global effort to preserve our world and the inhabitants in it. This duty comes not through elections and decrees, but as a obligation placed upon us as the dominant...

I was very disappointed that you did not show the presentation of the awards to the 1970 Vietnam vets, as you keep saying you would. I postponed my day for 2 hours waiting to see it. The only thing you showed was a pan view for about 2-3 seconds. If you are not really going to show something DO NOT say you will, just mentioned that it is happening. I had several friends in Vietnam at the time and was expecting to see one of them. He was in a Medic Helicopter and went down to rescue...

It is only when the intellect has matured to a point where we can begin to consider preservation of the species over the preservation of one’s self that we can begin to make the choices for the greater good necessary to create the fundamental transformation required to bring balance and synergy between the human species and the environment. This is the pure essence of the green movement.

It is time to put the survival of the planet and the human race ahead of our own survival. Like all other advanced life forms on this planet we have a primal drive compelling us, to do what we need to, to ensure the continued existence of our species. This drive for self preservation on the individual level is the root cause of the greed and corruption that is plaguing the human race.

cut off above portion of the resources than others? Should the resources be doled out in proportion to an individual’s contribution or the individuals need? If resources are a result of contribution, when, if ever, is an individual’s contribution no longer worthy of resources? When if ever is one species more worthy of resources than another and why? These are the questions I would like to have answered.

Evolution that is what is needed. It is time to look beyond ourselves, our families, our states, countries, races, or classes, and begin to look at our species. It is time to get beyond the primitive thinking and feudal ways of our ancestral roots. Maybe Bill Maher was right, maybe we as a species are too primitive to see the big picture. Do we, as the dominant species, have more rights than the less dominant species on this planet, and do some of our species have more rights to a bigger...

The report about Hollywood promoting volunteering...Hollywood is the LAST place I would to go hear some kind of social message...selfish, arrogant people..most of them make me sick...just keep your mouths shut! Stick to entertaining. I already notice shows dropping in pro-administration messages. I will no longer watch any tv show that so obviously tries to promote a political ideology. New Adventures of Old Christine and Ugly Betty are 2 shows that touted such messages last week + are now...

Jon Scott, in your discussion of terrorist training overseas you asked were the recruits disaffected. Did they have antipathy for America (I'm paraphrasing). Please be rest assured the deep rooted beliefs of Islamist Fundementalist are world domination. Has not their writings, their actions and their speeches made this abundantly clear?

Our population has grown beyond sustainable levels. The material based capitalistic global system of existence we have developed has led to a seriously unbalanced distribution of the inadequate resources we have, and a self-centered and selfish standard of existence that is driving unparalleled greed and corruption worldwide. The time has come to evolve.

I would like to open a dialog on what I perceive as the next evolutionary, not revolutionary, step for mankind. It is a social evolution, if you will. It is time that we started thinking beyond ourselves as individuals, and started thinking about ourselves as a species on this planet. The other species of animals on this planet left to their own devices regulate themselves to achieve a harmony and balance. We do not.
